Banner Day
Here is a chance for youngsters to win four free tickets to a future home game along with four free pre-game dinners in the Arena Club. That is the prize for the banner judged the best on Wednesday, Nov. 12, when the Spirits meet the ABA champion Kentucky Colonels at the Arena.
Youngsters make their own banners and parade them around the court at halftime for judging, which will be based on originality and creativeness.
David Thompson's First Visit
Wednesday night, Nov. 19 - mark it on your calendar. That's the date the incredible David Thompson makes his first St. Louis appearance with the Denver Nuggets - a show you won't want to miss.
The most exciting player to come out of college in years, Thompson has not disappointed the Nuggets with his play. He has been spectacular with his unbelievable jumping ability - a vertical leap of 42 inches from a standing position.
With Thompson will be his college teammate at North Carolina, Monte Towe, the smallest player in pro basketball in many years. He is listed at 5-foot-7.
