Played 2-plus seasons with Kansas City before being waived early this season…tremendous ball-handler and passer, who is an excellent instructor…learned ball handling in grade school when coach of team drilled the entire club…father coached his high school team - in Mullins…father now coaches high school in Chesapeake, Ohio…has 2 brothers and a sister…older brother played at Marshall and now coaches a high school in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where his sister also lives…he plans to open a restaurant there with them this summer…younger brother is playing on 8th grade team in W.Va., and also is a city tennis champ…Mike plays tennis and shoots 82 in golf…biggest pro thrill was guarding Jerry West, the idol of every West Virginian player, in Mike's 1st start with KC…a pre-med major at Marshall with a degree in zoology…might try med school when he finishes playing basketball…will be married this spring to a West Virginia girl, who is a senior at Marshall.
